Bring your horse

For many horse owners, heading away for a few days is a pain when the horse has to stay at home.

At Wynola, you're welcome to bring your pony with you. We have a large secure paddock, and if you are with a group, you can set up yards with your own panels or tape inside the paddock. There's plenty of scenic country to explore from the saddle, making it easy to combine a camping getaway with some time riding.

Many of our guests live on smaller properties or have horses on agistment, where riding options can be limited. At Wynola, you can camp and ride from one place, including exploring Condamine River Road, which is part of the national trail.

Our Horse Camp is designed specifically for horse campers, with power, water, a toilet and a hot shower available. It offers a comfortable base while still allowing you to enjoy the peace and space of the bush.

The riding here is not all flat paddock riding. Wynola is located in the hills of Cambanoora Gorge, with plenty of climbs, descents and ridgelines to explore. Riders and horses need to be comfortable navigating hilly country, but the tracks are established, safe, and reward you with some spectacular views across the property and surrounding ranges.

One of the things guests enjoy most is slowing down and taking in the landscape from the saddle. Whether you're riding along the river, climbing into the hills or exploring the many tracks across the property, there's plenty of country to discover.

Wynola is a working cattle property, so horses need to be well managed and comfortable around livestock and wildlife. We ask all riders to respect the property and leave gates as they find them.
