About
Bernie & Jo Brosnan, Killarney, SE Queensland
Bernie and Jo Brosnan live and work on their 1500-acre property, Wynola, nestled along Condamine River Road in Killarney. Bernie is the youngest of eight children and the third generation to care for this land, which is still home to grazing cattle and their much-loved Australian Stock Horses.
They feel deeply connected to the landscape and consider it a privilege to look after such a special part of the world. With river frontage, open paddocks, and healthy bushland, Wynola is a haven for wildlife—including echidnas, wallabies, native birds, and the shy platypus that many campers are lucky enough to spot by the river’s edge.
Guests often describe Wynola as ‘paradise’, and Bernie and Jo don’t take that lightly. They’re passionate about sharing the peace, beauty and stillness of life on the land—especially with families who might not otherwise get the chance to experience it.
Wynola Country Cousins was born from that desire. It’s a simple, low-impact bush camping experience where guests can slow down, reconnect with nature, and make the kind of memories once found visiting your country cousins on the farm.
